COVID-19 - Scriptures to Comfort and Encourage You
So then, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Today has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34 (NET) Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NRSV) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6 (NKJV) Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (ESV) When I needed the LORD, I looked for Him; I called out to Him, and He heard me and responded. He came and rescued me from everything that made me so afraid. Psalm 34:4 (VOICE) I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you, his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. Psalm 34:1-9 (NIV) [Jesus said,] Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV) May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in faith so that you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (CEB) ___________________________________________ East Texas Healing Center easttexashealingcenter.org easttexashealingcenter@gmail.com

"You Could Be The One"
You can follow the link anchor.fm/realtalkjoanieandcindy to listen to the short podcast. Are you the one? Jesus said, "I give you all power and all authority over all the power that the enemy has." (Luke 10:9). You have both power and authority as believers. That's what we are supposed to walk in - His power and I thought, well, we're supposed to walk in His power but do we? We have the ability to walk in it if we would just step out in faith and do it. There's a sick and dying world out there and you can be the one who is the hands and the feet of Jesus. You can be the one that lays hands on people and see them be healed. I love the end of Mark 16, verses 15-21. Jesus was talking to His disciples and right before He ascends, He was giving them the last instructions that he wanted them to have before He left them. And what does he tell them? "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages; ...they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 17-18 WEB All believers, signs, and wonders will follow all those who believe, they will speak with new tongues, they will cast out devils. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. That's our legacy! It's our job description! It is our mandate! Go Preach the Gospel, heal the sick, cast out demons, deliver the captives, set the captives free, heal the brokenhearted. So, in doing that, when you first step out into obedience, you start trying to do those things and the Lord will work with you just like He did His disciples. I know Joanie has shared about an evangelistic spirit that came upon her when she was young. I didn't have that. I was more the shy one. But through the power of the Gospel, and Joanie just shared it with you: Christ, born of a virgin, died on a cross, lived a holy life. The son of God. He was crucified and resurrected. By His stripes, we are healed. The stripes that He bore upon His back were for our healing. And I love the fact that by His blood, the blood of Jesus, we can be set free and healed from everything. He's not just a Healer, He is healing. Are You Living Your Life with Purpose?
You're listening to the Healing Word podcast with Cindy Hyde. Welcome to today's podcast.
Well, my question is, are you living your life with purpose? Are you just letting a day come and go and another day come and go and you look back on your life and say, what have I really accomplished? What have I really done? That's one of the reasons why I encouraged my friend Joanie Buchanan so much and just really kind of like, okay, uh, after four years it's time to get this project done, so let's do it - to put all of her devotionals in a book. Which we did! The book (Spending Time with Joanie: a weekly devotional for your spiritual growth) is available on Amazon.com. I encouraged her so she could have it as a legacy. She also has all of her radio programs and all of her TV programs that are going to be available long after she's gone. That's a beautiful legacy and what a beautiful example for those of us coming up after her. She's not quite a generation older than I am, but you know, if we think of generational blessings, what kind of blessing are you leaving for the generation that's coming up after you? How are you willing to live your life on purpose with purpose, God's purpose, not your purpose? To be purposeful, to live a life intentionally, to be a blessing to others, to share the gospel with others and to love and serve others. And you know, there's just no greater thing. And I know Joanie will absolutely agree, that there's no greater thing on the face of this earth than being able to live in peace with your God. And to know that you're doing everything you can to serve Him and to be able to be a blessing and to be obedient. I know there's been a lot of things that He's told me to do. I remember in the mid-nineties when He said He wanted me to write a book. I'm like, 'I don't know how to write a book'. He says, "No, but I do." And I thought to myself, 'Yes! I guess you do don't you!' It tickled me, and so have the other conversations that He and I have had. My first book - A Woman of Acts - was born out of that calling, that literal voice of God saying write a book. "I want you to write a book" He says, and my book came out of the book of Acts. It is about how we can be stronger as women by doing what the Bible says. And it was just an interesting time that I shared with the Lord. But that's just one small example. I just see women that are sitting around at home and they're bored and they think they don't have a life and they don't think that they have anything that they can contribute. I used to be that woman! I promise you that you do something you can contribute to your family, friends, community, society as a whole. It doesn't matter if your contribution is going to the House of God on Sunday mornings and loving on the people that come through the door, to hug their neck, and to smile at them. You know, we don't know how many people are sitting at home that never get a hug. The Lord told us to fellowship with one another, with like-minded people, and to surround ourselves with those who can teach us the ways of Christ, and how to love one another. I believe part of the reason for that is to get the love and the encouragement from one another that we so desperately need. ### Living your life with purpose is not hard.
